About Me

My name is Tsilos Schoener and I am an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin and a direct descendant of the Menominee Nation of Wisconsin. My late mother, who was Menominee, taught me to bead more than 20 years ago. Since then, I've expanded my knowledge on different beading styles and have experimented with various types of threads, beads and other materials.

I collect tutorials and love to do my own creative variation on them.  Sometimes I like the result and sometimes not, but that's the fun of designing.  I can honestly say that most of my items are one of a kind.  I find it extremely difficult to make two or more things exactly the same.  I think it has to do with using tiny seed beads, or maybe it's just me. I primarily sell my beadwork at Artfire.com. I just started selling my beadwork this year (2010) to help me fund my love of beads and creating!
